Thursday NIGHT POTLUCK
June 23rd. was the date for our latest summer potluck. It never ceases to amaze me how we can come up with such a feast every time. Seventeen folks showed up for the dinner, a smaller group than usual. Some complained it was too hot. I wonder if they thought we would be eating outdoors!
We may never again experience a more exuberant rendition of Clementine, as we heard tonight. The men out-sang the women by far. The singing gave the evening a festive feel, and made the party complete. Do you suppose we may have dancing for the next party? We hear that some of the gang went across the street to the Country Club last week and danced a round or two. It seems there is just no holding back these Village party animals.
