BITS AND PIECES
Mike and Jean Halvorson have done it again folks. They have resurrected the every other week summer potluck, much to the delight of nineteen residents. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to touch base, neighbors. I had my first experience attending a potluck with no cake, pie or cookies.
It was nice to see Norbert and Jean Mills, in town for a few days. They not only attended the potluck, but hosted a Saturday Coffee. Thanks Mills. We sometimes have to beat the bushes for summer hosts.
Rom and Joan Hermsen returned to Lakewood, Wis. in time to spend a few days with his Dad before he passed away. Our condolences go out to the Hermsen family.
City streets have been slurried, so Lindstrom and Stockton were out of bounds for a few days. They look lovely now. Work has begun on phase four facades. Hearing the hammering and sawing, early in the morning, is music to our ears.
Quote for the day. A new study has shown that women who carry a little extra weight are more likely to live longer than men, who mention it.
