MISS WISCONSIN COMES TO VISIT
It is true.  Bob Tudjan did not get to Atlantic City last September to see his granddaughter, Paula Mae Kuiper, Miss Wisconsin, compete in the Miss America Pageant.  She was one of the top twelve contestants.  However, Paula did her grandpa one better when she came to visit him this week.  Along with her mom, Vicky, the girls spent many hours at the pool, working on their tans.  They looked quite pink, but what do I know?

Here in the Village where we are one big extended family, we added Miss Wisconsin to our family tree when she appeared at Saturday Coffee on February 8, 2014.  Interviewed by Martin Aaser, Paula said she has taken a year off from the University of Milwaukee doing extensive traveling in her role as Miss Wisconsin.  She said she neither sings or dances, but does play the piano.  Taught by her father, Rick Kuiper who is a music teacher, she has been playing the piano since age five.

Tall and beautiful, with a ready smile and charming personality, Paula demonstrated her talent as an accomplished musician.  Without any coaxing she played the Hungary Rhapsody Migonne for her admiring audience.  Along with her grandpa, we all felt quite honored to have this lovely talented young woman with us for a few days.
Also visiting Bob were his daughter Jo Dee Jacobs, from Minnesota, and granddaughter Loren Larsen from Racine.  Loren has just graduated from Concordia University of Milwaukee with her teaching certificate, and is on a little vacation before she begins her substitute teaching.

It was a joy having these enjoyable ladies visiting in the complex, both for Bob and the whole community.  We hope they will return soon.
