END OF SUMMER DINNER

Our purse was flush this Summer with revenues from recycled aluminum cans and a small amount from Saturday Coffee. After replenishing the kitchen supplies we decided to treat all interested residents and those loyal folks who held down the fort all Summer, by faithfully keeping the Saturday Coffee afloat. Twenty people gathered at the clubhouse for the September 26 affair.

We took the opportunity to thank Joe Dotty for his help in instrumenting the new roofs on the duplexes, and raised a glass to him saying:
"He came to our rescue last Spring. It seems doing roofs is his thing.
The job is completed, It's just what we needed.
Forever his praises we'll sing."

Sue Dotty, just home from her Summer in Minnesota, did a timely demonstration of the Heimlich maneuver.
Lana Swearinger, fairly new resident, who has formed a Writer's group in the Village, held a simultaneous meeting in the Library. The camaraderie and warm feeling among residents was very much present. We hope to keep the feelings aglow as the Snowbirds arrive.
