Not only did the calendar remind us that tomorrow, September 22 will be
the first day of Autumn, but the temperatures told us that summer is over
and Fall has brought us the beautiful temperatures for which we have been
waiting.
After replenishing the kitchen with known necessities, we used the rest
of the monies accumulated over the summer for a Friday night bash of old
fashioned picnic foods.
Fourteen, year round hangers-on were present as we enjoyed an extended
family get together. No entertainment was necessary as we each (some
more than others) offered our two cents worth to the conversation.
Politics and religion were left on the back burner to simmer until after
the November election. The Village @ Apache Wells, and the anticipation
of the arrival of the winter visitors were the topics of conversation.
The conclusion was, we hope to see you all in the Fall.
