     December 19th 2013 Christmas Party

In the charmingly decorated clubhouse, with Christmas tree lights twinkling, and holiday music echoing in the background, our extended Village family enjoyed an early Christmas party.  Hosts Jim and Barb Erie, Mike and Jean Halvorson, Roy and Jan Lietzaw, plus Gene and Marilyn Larson, did a bang up job of ushering every guest to a spot they might enjoy, and saw to it that everyone was happy.

The catered food was excellent, with a choice of salmon or chicken for entrée’s, garlic potatoes/gravy, some special carrots, tasty coleslaw, rolls and butter, and a yummy sinful dessert.
Much to the delight of the crowd, Raejean Warren table hopped and snapped pictures of most everyone present.  The pictures will most likely turn up at our next Saturday coffee.

Santa Claus slipped down the chimney when no one was looking, and brought chocolate kisses to one and all.  Some lucky ladies even collected a big sloppy kiss from Ole St. Nick.
Marilyn Larson tickled the keys and led the gathering in a medley of Christmas carols.  It brought back memories of the former Monday afternoon singing group, and their noisy renditions of the old Christmas music.
With such ample delicious food, there was bound to be requests for doggie bags, and Santa’s helper obliged by handing out aluminum foil sheets to those requesting them.  One tasty lunch for tomorrow coming up.
We challenge anyone to have better relationships and the sense of camaraderie that is felt in our little Village at Apache Wells.
Merry Christmas to all.
Mary
