More winter residents are arriving every day. We suspect the count at Saturday Coffee will be up considerably.
Brian and Karen Glowa are here in 1043, at least for a month or two. We in the Village are always happy to see the Glowas, as Brian is such a willing handyman. Karen is a dear heart too. Marianne and Don Benttine arrived, as well as Jan Hermanson. Jan will fly down to Georgia to meet Pete, so we hear.
Betty Carlson and her lovely daughter Susan came in on Sunday. Susan is already working on her tan. I eavesdropped on their conversation at the pool and overheard Susan excitedly telling her mom about some tickets to go see Jimmie Buffett. Being as Roger doesn't let me out too often, I had no idea who this famous man might be.
Sad news has come to the Village of the deaths of 2 longtime residents, Niles Curtis, and Norma Dykstra who wintered here on the corner next to Del Schmidt. More on them later.
